We invite you to join Dr. John Feierabend for the Becoming Tuneful, Beatful, and Artful Seminar at Sea. This seminar will explore how to maximize musical growth and development in children from birth through the elementary years. Teaching strategies will be presented based on the rich repertoire of traditional children's songs, rhymes, games and dances as well as wonder-full classical music examples. A program for parents and children playing together in the years from birth to age three will be presented as well as a curriculum for music classes in preschool and beyond. Also experience the long term outcomes of this curriculum in an evening of folk dancing! Dr. Feierabend's book, First Steps in Music(R) will be included in the seminar's price to all participants. Participants will attend two six-hour seminars (during the two days "at sea") and an evening folk dance. Optional 1 graduate credit is available through The Hartt School.
