2011 Western Carolina University Trip to the Rose Parade Tour

The Pride of the Mountains Marching Band will participate in the world famous 2011 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California!

The 122nd Rose Parade will take place on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at 8 a.m. (PST) featuring spirited marching bands from throughout the nation, majestic floral floats and high-stepping equestrian units.

The Rose Parade will be broadcast on ABC, Hallmark Channel, HGTV, KTLA (Tribune), NBC, RFD-TV, Travel Channel and Univision. The Parade is also seen in more than 200 international territories and countries -- a viewing audience of millions. The 5.5-mile parade route hosts approximately 1,000,000 people from Southern California and beyond.

The "Style" of the WCU Band will no doubt thrill the Pasadena Band Fest Audience this December.

Through Travel Gallery of Pasadena, Western Carolina University is offering alumni, parent and friends package for those who want to accompany the band on this historic trip. Through a special arrangement with the official grandstand seating company for the Tournament of Roses -- Western Carolina University Almuni, Parents and Friends will view the parade from the prime vantage point of "television corner," enjoying the spectacle of bands, floats and equestrians right after they make their famous turn onto Colorado Boulevard.

The Western Carolina Official Tour will allow you to mirror much of the Band’s activities or create a program with a length that fits your personal schedule and budget. The tour activities and social events can be included or excluded.
