The approach to the cost has been adjusted.  Initially we offered only the price for the hotel rooms at the all inclusive resort for the 9 night stay including VAT (taxes).  After reviewing the size of the group and other considerations on the meeting space we have now included more essentials in the bundled package:

• 9 night all-inclusive (meals and beverages) resort stay (based on double occupancy)

• Transfers from Heraklion airport / Creta Maris Resort — round trip, based on package dates

• Church meeting services fees

Notes:

• The prices offered are for the hotel stay of 9 nights for the entire Feast of Tabernacle and 8th Day.  The property is inclusive of 3 meals daily and beverages.  Specialty restaurants and top shelf liquor are additional.

• All room packages are based on 2 adults, twin/double occupancy.  

• Infants (0-1.99) Children (2-11.99) are free in certain room types but there will be a cost for the transfers. 

• All additional persons in rooms 12 years of age and over are considered adults.  Note that when the hotel states in promotional descriptions that a room will “accommodate 3 adults” what they really mean is that it will house 2 adults and a Teen (12-17.99) as the additional sofa bed is often narrow and is not adequate for an adult. 

• We have followed the hotels pricing outline with respect to how infants, children and third adults (teens) are charged when occupying a room with two adults. Therefore the 9 night festival package is priced per person for the first and second passengers based on type of room.  Then infants, children and teens are billed with a package per their description to include the additional cost for the transfers, and the additional nightly charge from the hotel as applicable. 

• Accommodation fee of 4€ per room, per night, is NOT included in the above-mentioned rates and will be paid upon arrival directly by the guests. This is a requirement of Greek law.

 

Add-on Components (costs not included in the Specialty Feast Package) will be offered early in 2024 as available from suppliers and will include:

• Pre-Festival packages to Athens with essential tours

• Pre/post islands stays as available

• Tours during the Festival stay in Crete

• Pre or Post nights (outside the package dates) at the Creta Maris Resort

• Payment for these add-on components will be spread across the remaining payments from the time of booking.

Special Notes:

• In light of the non-refundable nature of the payments and early booking please carefully consider taking advantage of the Travel Protection that will be offered at the time of deposit.  The rates offered for the Standard Travel Protection (4.55%) and Enhanced (7.10%) are very favorable.  An added benefit of the Enhanced plan is change your mind coverage (75% cash back) which may be important if you have to cancel for reasons that are not typically health or accident related.  While Travel Protection can be added later, the Enhanced protection is only available if purchased within 14 days of the initial trip deposit. Special note: Enhanced Plan not available for those residing in the state of New York.

• The deposit will be increased by the cost of insurance. 

• The Festival Stay Package is based on an agreement which is priced in a foreign currency (Euro).  While the conversion to USD is current should there be major shifts in the exchange the applicable difference will be billed at the time of final payment.

 

Payment schedule for 9 Night Crete Specialty Feast Package (payments become nonrefundable on the date they are due):

Deposit 20% - this will be increased by cost of insurance 

August 1, 2023 - 20%

January 1, 2024 - 20%

April 1, 2024 - 20%

August 1, 2024 - 20%

 

Add-on Tour components will be booked as available (offered early 2024).  

• Payment for these add-on components will be spread across the remaining payments from the time of booking of the add-on.

• Add-on Tour components final payment will be August 1, 2024.

• Once travel protection is added to the booking, additional tour components are added to travel protection as the component is added to your booking, and will increase the premium and show as “past due” as the increased coverage must be paid for to be effective.
